How was your first time bowling?

On Thursday after school, my family and I went bowling for my birthday.

When we arrived at the bowling ally, my uncle and I went to the arcade games first and we won lots of tickets. The first game we played was a basketball shooting game. Then my mum called us telling us that it's time to bowl. First we had to put our bowling shoes on. The shoes were just right.

After our shoes were on our feet, we all grabbed a bowling ball quickly and my ball was a red coloured ball. When we walked up to the slippery bowling lanes the boys in the lane beside us kept on getting perfect strikes. The teams were a bit unfair but that did not matter, because I was having so much fun.

The first bowler on my team was my fabulous mum. She got a strike on the first try. Next it was my turn and I did not knock out any pins in my lane because I accidentally threw my ball hard across the room to a different lane. My mum and my funny uncle were the best players out of us all. After a fun time we went back home to rest our body.

That night was the best night I have ever had. I want to try and aim for the pins next time.

We are leaning to understand and use descriptive language in my writing.
I know this when I use appropriate adjectives and adverbs in my weekend recount.

I miss my family overseas. Do you have any families overseas?

On the 5th of August my family auntie and I went to Tonga for two unveilngs.

On the plane, I watched a show called Good Luck Charlie. Good Luck Charlie is about a girl named Teddy Dunkin who makes video diaries for her younger sister to watch when she is older. At the end of the video diary, Teddy says her phrase, "Good Luck Charlie".

During Good Luck Charlie I felt a headache. My dad said it was air pressure as we were landing. After we arrived we went out of the airport and we went straight to Longoteme because we had to help with the grave stone 

After the grave stone was organised, I went to meet up with some old toko's. ( Toko means brother in Tongan). I met up with a couple of boys at their school and I played Rugby with them. I scored two tries and seven perfect tackles.

After that day, I asked myself, "Did I do a good job, did I work hard enough." I don't think I did. I will try harder next time and I might take some gum with me next time to help release the air pressure in my head when we are landing.

How good was your sleepover?

On Saturday my cousin showed up at my front door for a sleepover.

Before my cousin entered my house, I cleaned up my room faster than the speed of light. When I finished cleaning my cousin entered the house and I quickly turned the PS3 on so that when he comes upstairs, we can play his favourite game Minecraft.

When he entered my room, I gave him a warm hug to welcome him back. First he asked me if we could play wrestling on the bed I pretended to think about and then I said "Oh yea!." We played wrestling until a message appeared on my PS3 sent by my pal Aiden. Aiden is my friend from school.

Aiden said "Hi Lasike, do you want to play WWE2k15." WWE  stand for world wrestling entertainment. He chose superstar Jeff Hardy and I chose the rapper Wiz Khalifa. I gave the controller to my cousin to have a go at Aiden. Then we got tired and fell asleep.

I had a great time and I hope My cousin did as well.
Next time I will give my cousin a huge hug when he comes back because I am glad he is my cousin.

Someone please tell him to be quiet!

On Wednesday my uncle took my little sister and I to the cinema at Sylvia Park because we cleaned up the house all by ourselves.

We had to decide which movie we were going to watch, we all agreed on watching the movie Minions because it was for kids. I brought three tickets for all of us. While I was buying the tickets my sister was buying the snacks. My sister brought fatty foods like popcorn M&M (Peanut flavor) and 3 extra large drinks. Then we entered the movie theater.

After we went in we saw lots of students making a crazy amount of noise before the movie began. When a funny scene appeared on the screen, a familiar laughter came from one of the school kids. I remembered that laughter and it was the same annoying laugh from when I watched the Spongebob  Sponge out of Water movie. That laugh went on until the movie ended. Before the students left, I walked up to the boy and told him to stop laughing so loudly when people are trying to watch a movie.

I really enjoyed the movie but I did not like the annoying laughter. Next time I might tell his teacher so I can enjoy the movie more.

Did you have a good sleep over?

On Saturday 23rd of May, my cousin was dropped off at my house for a sleep over.

First we went on the computer to play some games. 5 minutes later we got bored so we watched TV. We watched Big Time Rush, Mr Young and icarly. Then my mum left to go to my aunt's house. After that the fun began.

We played indoor soccer and we used a cushion as a soccer ball. We played soccer in the living room. My cousin almost smashed the TV because he kicked the cushion and it went towards the TV like a speeding bullet. Lucky I was being a good goal keeper so I blocked the ball.

Next we moved on to a different activity, boxing. My cousin almost knocked me out because he swung faster than Many Pacquia's fist. However he missed and punched the vase instead. We were lucky that it was not smashed otherwise we would have got in deep trouble.

When my cousin punched the vase, he got scared and said "lets play karate". I kicked him so fast that my foot was like a bullet train. I punched faster than the Karate Kid. However my aim was off and I ended up hurting my cousin because kicking him in the tummy.

After my cousin was hurt we had to stop.  Before long we went on the computer and played a scary game called ask the spirit. I got so scared that I screamed like a 6 year old girl. Then we heard a noise. "Mum is here!", I shouted, so we cleaned up the house faster than Usain Bolt. Then we ran upstairs and played video games until 5 in the morning.

My cousin and I had a great time, I should go to bed early next time and use day time to play games so it doesn't affect my health.

How much do you love your grandpa?

On May 15th was a special day for my grandpa, it was his birthday

First we cleaned the  house to get sparkly clean and to get ready for his birthday. Next my dad and went out hunting for the perfect present. We went to Sylvia Park to buy his present. We found a $200 watch at the jewelry store, so bought it because we knew he loved watches.

While my family was cleaning I was inviting my closes cousins over. After that I went to my room and started practicing my amazing speech. Before my granddad came my mum bought the cake in a click of a finger because we live near the bakery. Then my cousins arrived.

My granddad opens the door the light were off then SURPRISE. We all had to meet him before we eat. When we were about to eat I said a prayer and said my speech. My speech brought tears to his eyes. Then I gave him his new watch, he loved it, he said "a ten dollar watch replaced by a gold $200 watch". Then we ate takeaways my aunty bought. She bought chicken nibbles, fried rice, sweet and sour pork and a chicken salad.

I had an awesome day especially my granddad, he had a wonderful time. Thank you Lord for giving him a long life and keeping him healthy and happy.

Have you ever had a moment when someone annoyed you?

On the 10th of April my amazing dad, uncle, sisters and I went to the movies to watch a movie called Spongebob sponge out of water.

When we arrived at the movies we before going in we had to buy our yummy snacks and and tickets. While we were waiting for the movies to start ready we took photos of us at the Time out zone. After a while we asked the man when we could enter, he said, “Right now.” So we entered.

After we sat down the little kids behind us  were talking very loud! When the movie started, the kids were still really loud. I was so annoyed that I had to block my ears until they stopped talking. Every time there was a funny scene the kids behind were laughing like crazy. I was so annoyed.

After the movie, my family and I were waiting for my dad because my dad went to watch a different movie. He watched Fast and Furious 7. We waited for two hours at the Time out. We spent all our coins on the arcade games. After two hours, my dad came out of the theater.

I had a good time though I was annoyed. I got to eat, drink and play games. Next time I will if I meet them again ask them to keep quiet.

Try spending more time with your families!

In the holidays, my dad and my sister picked me up from my aunt's house to take me for a family barbeque.

When we arrived at One tree hill, the barbeque wasn't ready so I went to help my dad and his older brother with the cooking. We cooked meat patties, chicken pieces and sausages. I was bad at cooking because I burnt everything so I took my dads phone and watched some videos on YouTube. After that people started to arrive.

I got bored so I gave the phone to my little sister to play with and I went to play cricket with my cousins. I hit the ball so hard that it went flat. After that the food was ready and we ate some.

I ate a burger with a sausage and a patties. It tasted yum so I finished all my food. My cousin and I went off to the trees and played water fight. I got so wet because he had two bottles to attack me with

One tree hill is where we had the barbeque. One tree hill is half mountain with half a farm. At One tree hill we could see sheep's, cows and chickens. One tree hill is a tall mountain.

It was an amazing time at One tree hill I hope it happens again. soon If I get bored next time I should run around some more and then eat another burger.

Do you want to get wet?

On Sunday my dad asked Patelesio, Lupe and I a big favor. Wash the car. Patelesio was so excited that he took off his T-shirt. First we had to fill a bucket full of water. Then Patelesio poured the bucket all over the car and I got the hose and gave him a big surprise. Patelesio got mad and chased me around the house with a water bottle.

 Then my sister came outside and wanted to join in on the fun so Patelesio squirted the water bottle at her when he was doing that, I gave both of them a big surprise with the hose. I snuck behind them and turned on the hose they said Revenge will be ours and they went around the backyard and filled the big bucket full of water and poured it all over me. I chased them both and trapped them in a corner. I said in a French accent "say hello to my little friend" I grabbed the hose from behind me and sprayed them both. 

After that we went back inside and we all took a long hot shower.
I had a lot of fun with my sister and my cousin, I hope we get to do it again soon.
