Yay! I get a free day at the Cinemas!

We are learning to write a description
I can do this when I write a brainstorm and a script to describe the 2015 Manaiakalani film festival.

Transcript:
On the 11th of November 2015, Glen Innes school, Glenbrae school, Panmure bridge and my school St Patrick's School went on individual bus to travel to Manaiakalani film festival. It was held at the one of the biggest malls in Auckland called Sylvia Park. We have this film festival once a year because we are part of the Manaiakalani cluster. Each class had to make a three minute movie and then it is presented to the other Manaiakalani schools on the big screen.

K crew vs 2 freaky, who do you think will win?

On 30th of September my family and I went to the cinema at the biggest mall in Auckland called Sylvia Park to watch the New Zealand movie Born to Dance.

When we arrived to the cinema, the first thing that we had to do was to purchase our tickets. After buying the tickets, we had two precious hours left before the movie starts. The family splits up to go and do what they wanted before the movie. Mum went shopping, dad went for a hot coffee, uncle went to buy a new touchscreen phone and my sisters and I went to the arcade.

After two long hours, we all met up at the cinema. My older sister ordered our yummy, tasty snacks then we ran quickly straight into the big theater. The amazing movie Born to Dance was about a young boy named Tu who auditions for the K crew. K crew tricked and used Tu for his dance moves and then kicked him out of auditions. After Tu was out of the auditions he gathered his dance crew to go perform against the K crew in the finals.

After the movie, my whole family was smiling so I assumed they had a great day. I hope we can come with my mum more often because she's usually at work when we go to the movies.

We are learning to use descriptive languages in our recount.
I know this when I use verbs and adjectives to describe my weekend.

I am good at pretending to be a mannequin!

On Saturday 19th of September my family except for my mum went to Sylvia Park to buy uncle a suit for the St Peter's ball.

When we arrived at Sylvia park, we went to Hallestein Brothers to look for a suit. While we were at Hallestein I looked for hats. When I was there, I wondered if I should do a public prank. I thought about it and then I decided that i'm going  to follow through with the prank.

First I stood like a mannequin and then I waited for people to come past me. When people came past, I waited for them to look at me for a little while before I jump out at them as fast as I could then I watch their reaction. I scared about 20 people. After that we went to the food court for lunch.

At the food court my uncle and I went searching for something to eat. My uncle said, "let's go to the fish and chips shop. When we got to the fish and chips shop, my uncle ordered a John burger and I ordered a little John burger. Then we went home.

I had a fun time and I hope the people that I scared forgives me for scaring them.

Someone please tell him to be quiet!

On Wednesday my uncle took my little sister and I to the cinema at Sylvia Park because we cleaned up the house all by ourselves.

We had to decide which movie we were going to watch, we all agreed on watching the movie Minions because it was for kids. I brought three tickets for all of us. While I was buying the tickets my sister was buying the snacks. My sister brought fatty foods like popcorn M&M (Peanut flavor) and 3 extra large drinks. Then we entered the movie theater.

After we went in we saw lots of students making a crazy amount of noise before the movie began. When a funny scene appeared on the screen, a familiar laughter came from one of the school kids. I remembered that laughter and it was the same annoying laugh from when I watched the Spongebob  Sponge out of Water movie. That laugh went on until the movie ended. Before the students left, I walked up to the boy and told him to stop laughing so loudly when people are trying to watch a movie.

I really enjoyed the movie but I did not like the annoying laughter. Next time I might tell his teacher so I can enjoy the movie more.

WALT understand and use the correct structure of a recount.
I know I can do this when I write the events followed by the conclusion.
