Die zombie, die!

On Saturday 25th of October my friend Glen went online on his PS3 playing Minecraft by himself so I joined the game to play with him.

When I joined the game, Glen teleported me to him. Glen gave me iron to craft some armor and a sword to protect myself from spooky monsters like zombies, skeletons, gigantic human sized spiders and the ender dragon. After crafting my armor, I went to explore Glen's house in Minecraft. After exploring Glen's home, I discovered that Glen is really good at  redstone.

After playing his world, he created a new survival world and invited me to play with him. As soon as I joined, Glen and I went straight to mining. In the cave, Glen found a dungeon with zombies in it so Glen and I had to kill the zombies ruthlessly. After killing all the zombies I only had one precious life left, then out of nowhere, a random spooky skeleton with a bow shot me so my character died.

After my character died, I had to admit I did have a good time killing zombies, I hope Glen was that I was playing with him. Next time I should be more careful in the game and some more before I celebrate.

K crew vs 2 freaky, who do you think will win?

On 30th of September my family and I went to the cinema at the biggest mall in Auckland called Sylvia Park to watch the New Zealand movie Born to Dance.

When we arrived to the cinema, the first thing that we had to do was to purchase our tickets. After buying the tickets, we had two precious hours left before the movie starts. The family splits up to go and do what they wanted before the movie. Mum went shopping, dad went for a hot coffee, uncle went to buy a new touchscreen phone and my sisters and I went to the arcade.

After two long hours, we all met up at the cinema. My older sister ordered our yummy, tasty snacks then we ran quickly straight into the big theater. The amazing movie Born to Dance was about a young boy named Tu who auditions for the K crew. K crew tricked and used Tu for his dance moves and then kicked him out of auditions. After Tu was out of the auditions he gathered his dance crew to go perform against the K crew in the finals.

After the movie, my whole family was smiling so I assumed they had a great day. I hope we can come with my mum more often because she's usually at work when we go to the movies.

I am good at pretending to be a mannequin!

On Saturday 19th of September my family except for my mum went to Sylvia Park to buy uncle a suit for the St Peter's ball.

When we arrived at Sylvia park, we went to Hallestein Brothers to look for a suit. While we were at Hallestein I looked for hats. When I was there, I wondered if I should do a public prank. I thought about it and then I decided that i'm going  to follow through with the prank.

First I stood like a mannequin and then I waited for people to come past me. When people came past, I waited for them to look at me for a little while before I jump out at them as fast as I could then I watch their reaction. I scared about 20 people. After that we went to the food court for lunch.

At the food court my uncle and I went searching for something to eat. My uncle said, "let's go to the fish and chips shop. When we got to the fish and chips shop, my uncle ordered a John burger and I ordered a little John burger. Then we went home.

I had a fun time and I hope the people that I scared forgives me for scaring them.

Don't hit me with the selfie stick!

Selfie sticks in amusement parks

It is dangerous for people to take pictures on rides

While you are taking a selfie stick photo your phone can be damaged. While you're on a ride, your phone might drop and crack on the floor. Your phone might flung out and hit someone on the head.

It is dangerous on rides. When you reach out to get your phone, you might fall out of the seat. You might hit somebody with the selfie stick.

You damage the ride. While your on the roller coaster, your stick might hit something on the ride. You might hit the person in charge and then he might hit the wrong button.

Low battery. If you need to call someone to pick you up, your phone might be dead because you have wasted the battery taking pictures. There might not be memory space on your phone because you took many pictures.

Selfie stick should be banned from amusement parks because you can damage your phone, it's dangerous on rides, you might damage the ride and your phone might die.

We are learning to understand and plan a persuasive writing.
I know I can do this when I plan a persuasive writing about people taking selfie sticks to amusement parks

We are learning to develop understanding of the text that we read.
I know I can do this when I summarise the story Frankenstein in my own words.

Step away from the sheep Kevin!

sheep riding

We should stop the sheep riding madness because people are hurting the sheep.

If you ride a sheep, you might hurt it. You might hurt the sheep by sitting on it the wrong way and break its leg. If the sheep is hurt, then it won't be able to grow properly.

sheep are very important to us because we need them for clothing to keep us warm. We shear their wool and turn it into warm clothing. Therefore we need sheep to breed more sheep for their wool.

If you are not careful, you could get hurt by leaning on the sheep the wrong way. You could fall from the sheep and end up in hospital.

I am against sheep riding because sheep are very important to us and we need them for clothing not for entertainment. If a sheep is hurt, they will not grow properly after that.

We are learning to understand and plan a persuasive writing. I know I can do this when I plan a persuasive writing about Sheep riding.

What is your best soccer move?

On Friday 4th of September my favourite cousin came over for a sleep over again.

The first thing we did when he entered the house was played indoor soccer. I did the best soccer move ever in my life.I kicked the ball over my head from behind me then kicked it to the goal Bruce lee style. After that incredible maneuver my cousin got angry and went upstairs to play games instead.

Upstairs in my room was my cousin playing Minecraft. Minecraft is a game where you build and explore. You can also fight online gamer's and kill Zombies, Spiders, Skeletons and also a big blop of slime. My cousin was playing with Jacob, my friend from America. After that long game we went to watch a movie called Straight outta Compton.

Straight outta Compton is a very bad movie, it has foul language and inappropriate scenes. The movie was based on trues story about a crew called N.W.A. N.W.A was a famous rap crew in the 1980's. They were known as the most dangerous group. When the movie was over we all fell asleep like angels.

After all that madness everybody had a great time. Next time I should not show off my soccer skills too much so my cousin does not feel intimidated.

How was your first time bowling?

On Thursday after school, my family and I went bowling for my birthday.

When we arrived at the bowling ally, my uncle and I went to the arcade games first and we won lots of tickets. The first game we played was a basketball shooting game. Then my mum called us telling us that it's time to bowl. First we had to put our bowling shoes on. The shoes were just right.

After our shoes were on our feet, we all grabbed a bowling ball quickly and my ball was a red coloured ball. When we walked up to the slippery bowling lanes the boys in the lane beside us kept on getting perfect strikes. The teams were a bit unfair but that did not matter, because I was having so much fun.

The first bowler on my team was my fabulous mum. She got a strike on the first try. Next it was my turn and I did not knock out any pins in my lane because I accidentally threw my ball hard across the room to a different lane. My mum and my funny uncle were the best players out of us all. After a fun time we went back home to rest our body.

That night was the best night I have ever had. I want to try and aim for the pins next time.

I miss my family overseas. Do you have any families overseas?

On the 5th of August my family auntie and I went to Tonga for two unveilngs.

On the plane, I watched a show called Good Luck Charlie. Good Luck Charlie is about a girl named Teddy Dunkin who makes video diaries for her younger sister to watch when she is older. At the end of the video diary, Teddy says her phrase, "Good Luck Charlie".

During Good Luck Charlie I felt a headache. My dad said it was air pressure as we were landing. After we arrived we went out of the airport and we went straight to Longoteme because we had to help with the grave stone

After the grave stone was organised, I went to meet up with some old toko's. ( Toko means brother in Tongan). I met up with a couple of boys at their school and I played Rugby with them. I scored two tries and seven perfect tackles.

After that day, I asked myself, "Did I do a good job, did I work hard enough." I don't think I did. I will try harder next time and I might take some gum with me next time to help release the air pressure in my head when we are landing.

When he entered my room, I gave him a warm hug to welcome him back. First he asked me if we could play wrestling on the bed I pretended to think about and then I said "Oh yea!." We played wrestling until a message appeared on my PS3 sent by my pal Aiden. Aiden is my friend from school.

Aiden said "Hi Lasike, do you want to play WWE2k15." WWE  stand for world wrestling entertainment. He chose superstar Jeff Hardy and I chose the rapper Wiz Khalifa. I gave the controller to my cousin to have a go at Aiden. Then we got tired and fell asleep.

On Wednesday my uncle took my little sister and I to the cinema at Sylvia Park because we cleaned up the house all by ourselves.

We had to decide which movie we were going to watch, we all agreed on watching the movie Minions because it was for kids. I brought three tickets for all of us. While I was buying the tickets my sister was buying the snacks. My sister brought fatty foods like popcorn M&M (Peanut flavor) and 3 extra large drinks. Then we entered the movie theater.

After we went in we saw lots of students making a crazy amount of noise before the movie began. When a funny scene appeared on the screen, a familiar laughter came from one of the school kids. I remembered that laughter and it was the same annoying laugh from when I watched the Spongebob  Sponge out of Water movie. That laugh went on until the movie ended. Before the students left, I walked up to the boy and told him to stop laughing so loudly when people are trying to watch a movie.
